Lemon peel also contains wonderful components with active flavonoids. A study found that lemons had the highest total flavonoid content among all citrus fruits tested.

How Lemon Benefits Your Health:
Research shows that consuming fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C may reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. There are also many studies indicating positive results in reducing arteriosclerosis, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. Using Lemon for Home Cleaning:

Trash Bins — Add used lemon peels to your trash bags to prevent bad smells. If you’re using a non-leak bag, you can also add a tablespoon of lemon and vinegar water to the bag.

Refrigerator — Soak a sponge in lemon juice and leave it in the refrigerator for a few hours. It works better than baking soda to eliminate odors.

Room Spray — Boil water, let it cool, and add lemon peels, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Put it in a spray bottle and use it to refresh the air in your room.

Room Fragrance — Dry lemon peels and place them on low heat in a pan to make your kitchen smell nice.
